Account Analysts serve a dynamic role based on the core responsibility of servicing PIMCO’s institutional clients. The analyst’s primary responsibility is to support PIMCO’s client-servicing professionals to ensure delivery of the highest level of service to our clients. Interns gather, analyze and discuss economic trends, evaluate portfolio structures, and deliver attribution analyses to investment professionals and their clients.Positions are located in Newport Beach, New York, London, Munich, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.
Product Analysts work on various aspects of product management including positioning products across PIMCO’s global distribution network, vehicle design and construction, and competitor analysis and pricing. This role exposes the analyst to multiple product strategies, while allowing them to work closely with managers to learn how PIMCO products are developed.Positions are located in Newport Beach, London and Munich.
Global Portfolio Analysts support an assigned “Global” Portfolio Manager and/or senior “Generalist” Portfolio Manager in the trade room. Portfolio Analysts must build solid internal relationships and partnerships with Portfolio Management and Account Management across the firm’s Global Offices. Additionally, the role frequently interacts with Product Management, Legal and Compliance and Operations. Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: building portfolio summaries, monitoring portfolios, performance and attribution analysis, creating reports for risk monitoring, monitoring position weights and product versus client guidelines.Positions are located in Newport Beach, New York, London and Munich.
The Cash Desk is responsible for managing cash in client accounts. The team works closely with the Portfolio Management group to determine cash needs and either invests excess cash or raises cash to facilitate purchases. A Cash Desk Analyst’s responsibilities include: assist in the administration of the cash management process throughout each day; generate and analyze daily management and audit reports; and review ways to automate and enhance the current management process. The role frequently works with clients, account managers and the portfolio management group regarding client directed cash contributions and withdrawals. Additionally, an analyst works with Short Term traders to invest excess cash or raise cash and with Custodians and the Accounting group in reconciling cash balances and resolving discrepancies.Positions are located in Newport Beach.
The primary role of the Internal Sales analyst is to work within a division(s) of advisory brokerage sales at PIMCO, supporting the administrative needs of the team and implementing marketing efforts. While executing on the initial responsibilities, analysts will learn the PIMCO process, products and procedures. Ultimately, a full-time Internal Sales analyst would complete FINRA licensing and training, and then begin Financial Advisor outreach with the goal of developing new advisor relationships. This position provides excellent development and training to set up for a career as an Internal Advisor Consultant at PIMCO. Positions are located in New York.
The primary role of the Internal Sales Analyst is to work closely with the senior Global Wealth Management (GWM) Account Managers to offer overall support. The analyst will provide product information and sales support to clients and prospects in the GWM channel, as well as manage and build relationships with private bankers, financial advisors and other financial intermediaries. An Internal Sales Analyst should be able to work in a challenging environment, handle multiple tasks, as well as coordinate efficiently amongst other departments and functions. While executing on the initial responsibilities, analysts will learn the PIMCO process, products and procedures. This position provides excellent development and training to set up for a career as an EMEA Internal Sales Associate at PIMCO.
